It’s looking like things are starting to level out. Price gains from 2018 to 2019 were insignificant, and sales volume numbers were down some as well. Some of this is probably due to the huge winter we just had here in Durango, delaying the selling season when comparing differences between 1st quarter winters of 2018 and 2019. There’s chatter in the Real Estate circles that this will be the last strong selling summer season that we’ll see before things cool off moving into 2020. The good news is, the economy is great, and buyers still have access to historically low mortgage rates, they are hovering around 4%, and I’ve seen 3.8% for buyers with great credit history.
Time to List!
April and the first part of May is the best time for sellers looking to maximize list price, and also reduce the risk of price cuts and competition from other sellers. Inventory in Durango is currently low. Our winter weather delayed the selling season, so if you’re thinking about listing your home contact me today!
